Providing this peace and hope to a friend or family member in mourning can be very difficult.  Some are unsure of what happens when we pass away from this life and may have doubt that we have a loving God.  The question arises, “What loving God would allow one of His children to experience such pain and grief by taking away their son, daughter, or spouse?”.

God gave us a great gift that will bring peace and joy back into our lives, it is His Son.  Christ not only suffered for the sins of the world but also experienced death.  I’m sure there were many who mourned the day that Jesus was slain on the cross but the Savior would promise them hope by living again.  On the third day, Jesus arose from the tomb as a resurrected being and overcame death.  This gift of the resurrection gives a great amount of peace and comfort to know that we will live again.  As Christians, it is the single greatest spiritual message we could give to our friends or family members mourning the death of a loved one.
